Terms of Use
Copyright
All copyright to photographs remains with Geira Geirs photography (Geirþrúður Ó. Geirsdóttir), hens forth named the “photographer”,in accordance with the Icelandic Copyright Act No. 73/1972.
Delivery of images to the client does not constitute a transfer of copyright and does not grant permission to alter the images unless specifically agreed in writing.
Use of Images
The client is granted the right to use the images in accordance with the agreement – for example on the company website, social media, or promotional material.
Any use beyond the agreed scope, such as advertising, television, or print media, requires a separate agreement.
It is prohibited to remove watermarks or other markings of the photographer, if such are included.
The photographer reserves the right to publish photos from the shoot and edited images on their websites, unless otherwise agreed.
Alterations and Credit
No alterations of the images are permitted without the photographer’s written consent. This includes cropping, filters, color adjustments, or adding text to the images.
When published online or on social media the photographer is to be credited either by Geira Geirs or full name, Geirþrúður Ó. Geirsdóttir or tagged @geirageirs where applicable.
Employee Usage Rights
Employees featured in the images are granted permission to use their own portrait on personal and professional social media (e.g., LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram).
Any other use requires the photographer’s approval.
Delivery, Payment and Storage
Images are delivered once payment has been completed, unless otherwise agreed.
The photographer will store the final edited images for up to one year from the shoot date. After that time, responsibility for storage lies with the client.
Privacy and Consent
By booking a photoshoot, the client consents to the photography, editing, storage, and use of the images in accordance with these terms and in compliance with the Icelandic Data Protection Act No. 90/2018.
Breach of Terms
Any violation of these terms or infringement of copyright will be addressed under the Icelandic Copyright Act. The photographer reserves all rights to take action in accordance with applicable law.
